You don\u2019t need to be ready to launch a course yet. But you do need to start building a list of people who are interested in hearing from you.<\/p>\n

Why email? Because it\u2019s the one platform you truly own. Instagram can change its algorithm tomorrow. Your email list? That\u2019s your direct line to future students.<\/p>\n

And don\u2019t worry\u2014you don\u2019t need to be tech-savvy or even know what your future course will be about. Here\u2019s how to start.<\/p>\n

How to Start Building Your List (Even If You\u2019re New)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 1: Choose an email platform<\/strong>
Start simple. If you\u2019re a beginner, I recommend platforms like Mailchimp<\/a> or MailerLite<\/a>\u2014affordable and beginner-friendly.<\/p>\n

Step 2: Create a freebie<\/strong>
This is your \u201clead magnet\u201d\u2014a small, valuable piece of content you offer in exchange for someone\u2019s email. It could be a PDF, a mini brow mapping tutorial, or even a cheat sheet with your favourite pre-care tips.<\/p>\n

I created my first freebie during COVID: a simple PDF called \u201cHow to Shape Your Brows at Home.\u201d I used Canva<\/a> to design it, and it spoke directly to what people needed at the time.<\/p>\n

Step 3: Set up a landing page<\/strong>
You can create a page on your website where people enter their email to receive your freebie. Your email platform will then automatically send it\u2014and just like that, you\u2019ve started building your list.<\/p>\n

Step 4: Talk about your freebie<\/strong>
Post it on Instagram. Mention it in your captions, your Reels, your Stories. The goal is to let people know it\u2019s there and how to get it.<\/p>\n

The same principle applies when you\u2019re ready to teach. Instead of launching into silence, you\u2019ll have a warm audience who knows you, trusts you, and is ready to hear about your training offer.<\/p>\n
