How We Start: Back to Basics
We don’t jump straight to skin work. You begin with nothing more than a pencil and paper, learning patterns and stroke control before moving to latex. You’ll see video demos from me for every exercise, plus downloadable worksheets so you can print them out and practice at home.
From there, we move into:
- Stroke Foundations – Understanding how to create consistent, natural-looking hairstrokes.
- Pattern Work – Learning high, medium, low spines, different front variations, and men’s brow patterns.
- Machine & Needle Theory – So you know exactly what to use and when.
- Crisp vs. Shaded Strokes – Essential for adapting to different skin types and client goals.
The Practice-to-Performance Path
Once your patterns are solid, you’ll move onto latex work. This stage is where you refine hand movement, pressure, and speed—so by the time you get to real skin, it feels natural.
You’ll also learn pigment theory, how to choose the right colour, and how to prevent common issues like overly warm or ashy healed results.
When we transition to working on skin, I’ll guide you through everything from mapping for Hyperrealism Brows (different to powder or microblading) to working with challenging skin or muscle movement. You’ll see close-up videos of me working on models, so nothing is left to guesswork.
One of the biggest differences with this program is the feedback loop. Every week, you can submit your homework—whether it’s paper, latex, or skin work. I personally review a selection of these, record detailed feedback using Procreate, and post the video in our community. You’ll get this level of support for an entire year.
